The Architecture of England
September 10, 2019 - September 17, 2019
England is an obvious travel destination for preservationists. From Inigo Jones to Sir John Soane to Norman Foster, the British are passionate about the romance of historic architecture. Here in North Carolina, our affection for British architecture is goes deeper. In Greensboro, several of our most historic sites reflect English themes. Our magnificent Julian Price Designer Showhouse in April 2018 was held in a stately Tudor Manorhouse, replete with half-timberwork, herringbone brickwork, and sturdy towers. In June 2018 we enjoyed the Miramichi Gardens, a landscape that would make any Duke or Earl feel at home.
