Tour Hours
Blandwood is open year-round, Tuesday – Saturday 11am-4pm & Sunday 2pm – 5pm with the exception of major national holidays.

The last tour begins one hour prior to closing.
Please note that Blandwood only offers guided tours, led by trained docents. If a tour has started prior to your arrival, it may be necessary for you to wait until its completion to start your tour. Generally a tour of Blandwood lasts one hour.

The historic gardens of Blandwood are open to guests from sunrise to sunset.

We accept cash, check, or credit cards for your admission.

To qualify for a group tour you must have a minimum of 10 people. To qualify for the group tour rate of $8 you must have a minimum of 20 people. All groups must reserve tours in advance a minimum of two weeks.

All scheduled NC school groups tour Blandwood for FREE admission. School groups must have one chaperone per 10 children. School groups must book tours in advance a minimum of two weeks.

Photography is Permitted
The exterior of Blandwood may be photographed at any time. The interior spaces of the museum may be photographed without flash, for private use only, and not for commercial publication. For timeliness of tours, no tripods, lights, video cameras, or “selfie sticks” are allowed. #Blandwood

Large Bags
For your convenience, and for the care of our collections, please do not bring large bags into the museum. A safe space will be provided for you to store your bag inside Blandwood, if needed.

Inclement Weather
Due to the size of the museum’s grounds and walkways, Blandwood is closed when there is more than a dusting of snow on the ground or if roads are icey.
