Preservation North Carolina and Preservation Greensboro invite Gate City residents to attend the 2016 conference right here in Greensboro! Take this opportunity to learn about historic preservation endeavors and insights from keynote speakers Dr. Spencer Crew and Dr. Allan Parnell. Dr. Crew of George Mason University will explore the WPA recordings of the last living generation of the enslaved in the United States. Dr. Parnell of the Cedar Grove Institute for Sustainable Communities will speak about “Six Disruptive Demographics Trends: What Census 2010 Will Reveal” and how they impact the historic preservation movement.
Help us celebrate preservation in the Gate City and across the state through a neighborhood block party, tours, networking events and much more. Plus, you can take this opportunity to enjoy networking opportunities with some of the nation’s most prominent preservation movers and shakers while the spotlight is on Greensboro!
