Insider Tour: The Mill House at Revolution
July 27, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
This tour is filled, we are adding to wait list only.
Greensboro is enjoying a boom of rehabilitation and restoration projects involving historic industrial properties. Our special Insider Tours will provide a preview of stunning examples of these renovations, including the Mill House at Revolution. The Mill House, located in the 2000 block of Yanceyville Street, was a storehouse for flannel manufactured in the nearby Revolution Mill. The abandoned warehouse was purchased by the Durham-based Self Help Inc., the developer of the nearby Revolution Mill complex. The property is in the process of an adaptive reuse for mixed-use commercial, office and residential space created by the team of architect Eddie Belk and general contractor CT Wilson, imagineers for Greensboro’s MoJud Mill. Join us for a tour of this former manufacturing site that promises to join Greensboro’s impressive pantheon of creative industrial re-use projects! Highlights include an atrium with skylight and glass elevators. Space for this tour is limited and the tour does involve walking through challenging areas. Closed-toe shoes are recommended. Contact Kathryn for your reservation. Parking is located in the upper lot accessed by the FIRST left off Textile Drive from Yanceyville Street.
